Praia da Areia Branca is a premium kitesurfing spot for intermediately advanced riders and wave lovers. If you like the adrenaline of the open ocean, this is the spot!
If you prefer less radical experiences, you can drive (+- 30 km) to the Escola de Vela Lagoa de Óbidos, a kitesurfing spot on a nearby lagoon with flat shallow water and a very friendly atmosphere.
The wind blows regularly but on a light day, you can always go surfing 😉
